Google Confirms Which Devices Will Be Upgraded To Android Wear 2.0

During Google I/O earlier this year, Google announced the next major update to its smartwatch platform in the form of Android Wear 2.0. The announcement was made in May, but last we heard in September is that the release of the update has since been delayed to early 2017 as Google wanted to address the feedback that they’ve gotten so far.

That being said for those who are curious whether or not their Android Wear device will be eligible for the update to Android Wear 2.0, speaking in an exclusive interview with The Verge, Android Wear’s product manager Jeff Chang revealed the list of devices that would be getting the update.

This includes the Moto 360 Gen 2; Moto 360 Sport; LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE; LG Watch Urbane; LG G Watch R; Polar M600; Casio Smart Outdoor Watch; Nixon Mission; Tag Heuer Connected; Fossil Q Wander; Fossil Q Marshal; Fossil Q Founder; Michael Kors Access Bradshaw Smartwatch; Michael Kors Access Dylan Smartwatch; Huawei Watch; Huawei Watch Ladies; Asus ZenWatch 2; and the Asus ZenWatch 3.

The same interview also confirmed that Google has two flagship Android Wear devices in the works. Chang stated that when the device launched, the Android Wear devices mentioned above should also be able to expect the update to Android Wear 2.0.
