galaxy-s7-design_03Are you looking forward to seeing what Samsung is packing under the hood in the Galaxy S8? Following the snafu with the Note 7, safe to say that it’s not just consumers that are interested to see what Samsung has to offer, but Samsung themselves who are probably pretty eager to win back the hearts of their customers.

Last we heard, the launch of the Galaxy S8 would be later than expected and could be launched in April. It seems that the rumor is gaining some traction as a report out of Korea (via SamMobile) has corroborated those claims. These claims are made by participants in a global strategy meeting held by Samsung at its Korean HQ, in which it was revealed that the Galaxy S8 could be launching in April 2017.

The launch is also rumored to be taking place in New York, which shouldn’t be surprising as in the past Samsung has held events there before. The report goes on to add that the meeting was attended by Samsung’s mobile chief Koh Dong-jin, who stressed the importance of not leaking information, which given that we’ve heard about this already, is rather ironic.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but either way if you were hoping for an announcement to take place at CES or MWC 2017, it’s unlikely that will be happening so try not to get your hopes up.
