samsung-logoAll of the Samsung Galaxy S and Note devices have physical home buttons, but it seems that with the Galaxy S8, Samsung could be getting rid of physical buttons for good. This is according to a recent tweet by Android Police’s David Ruddock who wrote, “Source: Galaxy S8 will completely ditch hardware navigation keys, Samsung is switching to all soft keys with 3D touch-like functionality.”

This is actually not the first time that we have heard such rumors of the Galaxy S8. However if anything we reckon that these rumors more or less “confirm” what has been said before. Also interesting is the 3D Touch-like functionality which was actually rumored to be a feature of the Galaxy S7, although clearly that did not happen.

Once again this rumor isn’t new, but with Ruddock tweeting about it, it seems that the rumors have gained some traction. Whether or not it will manifest itself as being true and being a feature of the Galaxy S8 remains to be seen, but if it does it would certainly be an interesting addition, not to mention it will be interesting to see how Samsung implements it.

Take it with a grain of salt for now, but Samsung is expected to announce the phone at their own event come April 2017, or so the rumors say, which means that we still have a few more months of waiting before the official details are revealed.
