This is according to a report from Bloomberg in which they have heard from their sources that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will also feature an edgeless display. The report goes on to claim that Samsung is also expected to ditch the home button, meaning that just like the Mi Mix and the rumored iPhone 8, the front of the Galaxy S8 will be pretty much all-screen and no buttons.
Take it with a grain of salt for now, but it shouldn’t be surprising that Samsung needs some kind of hit device if they’re hoping to regain favor with their customers over the exploding Note 7 incidents. The handset is also rumored to have been delayed by a month due to tougher testing procedures adopted by the company. After all having another phone explode will not be doing them any favors.
In any case there’s a good chance we won’t be hearing about the Galaxy S8 at CES or MWC, so until then take it with a grain of salt but do check back with us from time to time for more updates.
