The music used by Kojima Productions in the trailer of Death Stranding is pretty apt. The trailer itself is dark, creepy, and mysterious, and the music seems to blend in perfectly with the visuals. It also feels like the music adds to the overall tone of the trailer as well. So much so that if you are so inclined, you can actually purchase it on vinyl if you want.
Yup, you read that right, it seems that there will be a vinyl release of the music from the trailer of Death Stranding. Now in the past we have seen vinyl releases for video game soundtracks, but this is just music from the trailer, not the actual game, which seems to be hyping up the release of the game like crazy.
According to the vinyl’s description, “Mondo, in conjunction with Kojima Productions, is proud to present a limited edition 12″ Single of Low Roar’s song ‘I’ll Keep Coming’, and ‘Easy Way Out’ as featured in the trailers for the forthcoming Hideo Kojima game Death Stranding.” Note that we are still pretty far away from an actual release and last we heard, it could be released in 2019, meaning that we still have a few years left of waiting.
The vinyl is currently available for pre-order where it is priced at $15. It is expected to ship in February 2017 which you probably should not take as the release date of the game.
