So much so that the Washington Post has decided to do something about it and that is by creating a Google Chrome extension that when installed, will be able to fact-check Trump’s tweets as they happen. This means that if you want to know how accurate his tweets are and whether they are factually correct, this extension will tell you just that.
According to the Washington Post, “We made a tool that slips a bit more context into Trump’s tweets. It’s still in the early stages, but our goal is to provide additional context where needed for Trump’s tweets moving forward (and a few golden oldies).” The extension is a free download and if you are interested, you can download it from the Chrome Web Store.
The publication also adds that the extension is a constant work in progress as new tweets by Trump will need to be fact-checked manually first before the extension is updated. “It takes a little while for the Chrome extension to update, so we’ll try to stay up to speed on fact-checking what Trump is tweeting, but it may take a few minutes. This is a work in progress, so don’t hesitate to offer feedback and thoughts.”
