asus-zenfone-4Smartphone battery life these days hasn’t exactly improved by leaps and bounds over the years. For the most part, most phones still tend to last only a day, or in some cases 2-3 days tops. This is why when choosing a smartphone, factoring in battery life is clearly something that some users take seriously into consideration.

That being said, it seems that ASUS could have something for you guys. In a recent sighting on TENAA (China’s version of the FCC; via PhoneArena), a certain ASUS X00GD was spotted. The handset appears to be running on Android 7.0 Nougat and sports a massive 4,850mAh battery. Given that the display is 5.2-inches with a relatively low resolution of 1280×720, we reckon this phone could last quite a while.

It is also believed that the X00GD could be the ASUS ZenFone 4, but there’s no way to confirm it until its release. Other specs revealed in its TENAA filing include a 1.5GHz octa-core processor with 2-4GB of RAM, and 16-64GB of onboard storage. We are also looking at a 13MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, and microSD card support for memory expansion.

ASUS has previously confirmed that they will be showing off new handsets at CES 2017 which kicks off next week, so do check back with us then for the updates.
