With the upcoming Justice League movie, it will be the first time that we will be able to catch a glimpse of Aquaman in action. However if you were interested in catching Aquaman’s solo movie, it seems that the movie has been delayed ever so slightly and instead of launching July 2018, it has been pushed to October 5, 2018.
This is according to a report from Deadline that revealed the new release date for the movie. Thankfully this delay doesn’t seem to be too long and it is basically 3 more months from the original release, so we guess fans of the character won’t have to wait too long. It is unclear as to why it was delayed to begin with, but presumably it could be due to extra polish or there could some kind of scheduling conflict.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the Aquaman movie, it will star Jason Momoa (of Game of Thrones fame) who will be in the leading role as Aquaman. He is expected to do battle against Steppenwolf who will be played by Ciarán Hinds who was also in Game of Thrones where he portrayed the character Mance Rayder.
The movie is directed by James Wan, who some of you guys might be familiar with when it comes to horror/gore movies such as the Saw franchise, The Conjuring, Insidious, although recently he was behind the Furious 7 movie which we guess was a nice change of pace.
