The Moto G4 Plus was announced earlier this year which makes it a still relatively new handset. Despite it being a mid-range device, you can rest assured that the folks at Lenovo/Motorola have not forgotten about it because according to a report from Techdroider, it looks like the Android 7.0 Nougat OTA update is being pushed out to the handset as we speak.
However we should point out that the update is currently being rolled out in India, which means that you will have to wait before the update is ready for your part of the world, wherever that might be. Also if you’re in the US and you bought it off a carrier, chances are the update will also require carrier approval so that’s additional waiting time.
That being said, we guess it’s still good news to learn that the update is now ready for the masses after a bunch of soak tests. Exactly when will you get the update remains to be seen, but if you’re eager to get your hands on it you could try to manually pull it by going to your phone’s Settings, About Phone, Software Update, although there’s no guarantee that you will get it if you do.
