The Xiaomi Mi Mix was announced last month and it seems that we could be a variant of the phone in the works. As you can see in the image to the right, it is allegedly the display belonging to a phone dubbed the Xiaomi Mi Mix Nano, which we can only assume is called the “Nano” because it sports a smaller display.
According to the rumors, the Mi Mix Nano will have a slightly smaller display at 5.5-inches, which is actually on par with many flagship smartphones out there so we wouldn’t exactly call it “Nano”, at least not in the strictest sense. However when compared to the Mi Mix’s 6.4-inch display, we guess it is technically smaller.
This screenshot seems to suggest that the existence of the phone is real. As for the rest of the specs, the Mi Mix Nano is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and will come with 4GB of RAM. It will also sport 64GB of storage under the hood, and we can only assume that with it being part of the Mi Mix family that we can look forward to the same “edgeless” display.
Unfortunately this photo doesn’t seem to be able to tell us what the phone looks like, but as we have seen in the past regarding “Mini” versions of phones, it should not stray too far from the original design. If this handset is the real deal, it seems that Xiaomi will have beaten Apple to the punch not once, but twice.
