Xiaomi might be known more as a seller of mobile devices, but they also offer a bunch of other products. For example just recently the company started to sell air purifiers and air quality monitors, but if you wanted something a bit more related to your smartphone, they have also recently launched a pair of $22 Bluetooth headphones.
Dubbed the Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset, these are a pair of Bluetooth headphones that will cost a very, very affordable $22. According to Xiaomi, the headphones are also rated IPX4 which means that they are splash and also sweat resistant, making them an ideal pair of headphones for those who want to work out but don’t want to deal with cords.
The headset offers a Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity with A2DP and can be paired with as many as 2 devices at once. Design wise we are looking at a loop that goes around the ear to ensure that it stays in place while you work out. Xiaomi is also boasting a 7 hour battery life meaning that it should last you several gym sessions.
It will also work in extreme environments with temperatures from -20 degrees C to 70 degrees C, in case that’s where you’ll be. It will be initially sold in China come 11th of November, but given that Xiaomi also sells accessories in the US, hopefully it will arrive stateside as well.
