Now it seems that more “proof” has surfaced which seems to hint at wireless charging capabilities for 2017’s iPhone. So what proof is this? According to BGR, this proof comes in the form of a company called Energous who has in the past worked with a “tier 1” smartphone manufacturer who has always been speculated to be Apple.
The company has also recently announced that they have taken a $10 million investment from another company called Dialog Semiconductor that builds power management solutions for consumer electronics, and one of the company’s top customers is none other than Apple. Energous had also previously taken another investment from Pegatron, who surprise, surprise is another partner of Apple’s.
Of course it is more than likely that these companies do have more customers than just Apple. Samsung has been speculated to be another possible company, so do take it with a grain of salt for now and hopefully more details will surface tomorrow.
