Renders of a new Verizon tablet were leaked recently and now Big Red has officially announced the slate. Ellipsis 8 HD is a new mid-range Android-powered tablet from Verizon. It’s available for purchase starting today. Customers who are interested in one can either buy it by paying full price or pick it up on a device plan and make equal monthly payments for 24 months.
Since this is a mid-range tablet, the specs are nothing to write home about. The Ellipsis 8 HD features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with 3GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The storage can be extended with microSD cards up to 128GB. It also has an 8 inch full HD display as well as an 8 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera.
There’s a 5,100mAh battery keeping the lights on, Verizon says that the battery is good for up to 14.5 hours of use and up to 14 days of standby. Its also has supported for the carrier’s XLTE network.
Customers who are willing to purchase this tablet can now do so from Verizon. It costs $249.99 at full retail or $10.41 per month for 24 months on a device payment plan. Verizon is offering the Ellipsis 8 HD in Midnight Blue and Arctic Grey colors. Orders for this Android 6.0 Marshmallow-powered tablet can also be placed via Verizon’s website.
