We’re sure that carriers would love if everyone would sign up with a postpaid plan, or even lock themselves into a contract, but unfortunately not everyone sees the need for such plans, or can’t afford such plans, or maybe they just need a number temporarily for holiday/travel reasons, which is where prepaid plans come in handy.
The good news for those who are looking for a new prepaid is that Verizon has announced two new prepaid plans that offer up 5GB or 10GB of data every month. This also includes unlimited talking and texting within the US, LTE tethering, carryover data, and always-on data. In case you’re not sure about some of those features, carryover data means that unused data from the previous month will be rolled over for one month, while always-on data means that if you go over your limit, your speeds will be throttled as opposed to being charged overages.
So how much will these new plans cost you? The 5GB plan is priced at $50 a month, while the 10GB plan is priced at $70. This is more value for money compared to the older plans in which 3GB was priced at $45, while 6GB was priced at $70. However the caveat is that to be eligible for the plans, customers will need to agree to enable automatic payments by default. For more information hit up Verizon’s website for the details.
