Oddly enough there was no mention of Logic Pro X, Apple’s music editing program, but the good news is that obviously won’t be ignoring it, but users of the app might have to wait. According to the folks at 9to5Mac, they have learnt that the team behind Logic Pro are working on it and support for Touch Bar will be arriving in early 2017.
This means that if you were to get the new MacBook Pro now, you won’t be able to use the Touch Bar in an enhanced/improved way. The app will still function normally, of course, but those fancy toolbars and access to shortcuts that other apps have won’t be present for Logic Pro X.
However there are other music editing programs that will have Touch Bar support, such as Djay Pro and GarageBand, so those are some alternatives for now. There was no specific date mentioned for when this support would roll out, so we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled for now.
