When Apple announced that the AirPods would be delayed, they unfortunately did not mention when they would be made available. This has led to all kinds of speculation, with some even predicting that it could be launched in 2017. However a recent rumor has suggested that it might be launched in December, and Apple’s CEO might have confirmed that.
According to an email that was sent by a customer, it seems that Apple’s CEO Tim Cook actually bothered to respond and according to the reply, he told the customer that he expects that the AirPods will be shipping over the next few weeks, thus corroborating the earlier rumors of a December release.
According to the email, “Thanks for your note. Sorry for the delay—we are finalizing them and I anticipate we will begin to ship over the next few weeks.” Now we have no way of knowing if the email was really from Cook, but Cook along with Apple’s executives have been known to reply the occasional email sent in by customers.
In fact Apple’s late co-founder Steve Jobs was also known to have practiced that habit of replying emails by customers, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that this is true. In any case we guess we’ll just have to wait and see if the report is true, so do check back with us in the coming weeks for the details.
