However it isn’t all just financial as it cost Samsung in terms of trust and reputation, but it seems that Samsung’s CEO Kwon Oh-hyun is trying to look on the bright side of things, and recently said that the entire incident has given the company a chance to reflect. Speaking at Samsung Electronics’ 47th anniversary, Kwon said that they had to learn from their mistakes and to introduce more stringent internal monitoring to help improve the company’s crisis management operations.
In the meantime and depending on who you ask, it seems that many Samsung customers do not plan to leave the company. A survey from last week revealed that 70% of Samsung’s customers do plan to stand by the company and their products. Not only that, but Samsung is also offering Note 7 customers 50% off the Galaxy S8/Note 8 in 2017 which should help the company win back the trust of customers, but what do you guys think?
