There aren’t a lot of great games available on the Windows 10 Store right now but Microsoft has been working hard to fix that. Some of its own titles have been released on the store and now it’s working with other publishers as well to increase the collection. Capcom today confirmed the Resident Evil 7 Windows 10 Store release. The game will be released there in additional to being released on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
So far, the biggest game to grace the Windows 10 Store with its presence is Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It can certainly do better and Resident Evil 7 is going to be a good addition to the lineup.
Capcom has confirmed today via a post on Dengeki that Resident Evil 7 Windows 10 Store release is going to take place alongside its release on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Windows 10 Store and Xbox One version of this game will share saves across devices and will even be able to provide up to 4K resolution on compatible machines. Resident Evil 7 is also going to have support for HDR on the Xbox One S.
Resident Evil 7 is a game that many fans of the franchise will be looking forward to because it’s unlike the previous iterations. For the first time, it takes the core franchise into first-person. How fans feel about this once they have actually had a chance to put it through its paces remains to be seen.
Resident Evil 7 is due to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, and Windows 10 Store on January 24th, 2017.
