Turns out the Pixel XL phones are doing great. According to data from Appboy, it has been revealed that adoption of the Pixel XL is moving along faster than that of the Nexus 6P which was released last year. The data shows that the Pixel XL managed to reach a market share comparable to that of the Nexus 6P in just one week, whereas the Nexus 6P took two weeks to arrive at those numbers.
Like we said it is interesting to see that people are reacting rather well to the new Pixel phones. While these devices will run stock Android, they will also have certain exclusive features like Google Assistant, Night Light, and fingerprint swipe gestures that other Nexus devices do not. Google has never really done any exclusive features for Android before, so it is interesting that many customers seem to be pretty open to the idea.
It also helps that based on initial reviews, many are pretty pleased with the results of the Pixel’s cameras. Google’s Nexus phones have never been known for their image quality before, so it’s good to see that Google is making changes to that perception.
