We’ve constantly been hearing rumors over the past few weeks that OnePlus is soon going to launch a new version of the OnePlus 3 handset with upgraded internals. The handset was rumored to be called the OnePlus 3T and that’s precisely what it’s called. OnePlus has officially announced the OnePlus 3T today, as expected, the handset replaces the Snapdragon 820 processor found on the OnePlus 3 with a Snapdragon 821 and also features a higher price tag.
The OnePlus 3T is actually quite similar to its predecessors aside from the upgraded internals. It features a 2.35Ghz Snapdragon 821 processor with 6GB RAM and will be available with up to 128GB of storage. It retains the 5.5 inch full HD Optic AMOLED display.
The battery is slightly bigger at 3,400mAh battery with Dash Charge support while the front camera gets bumped up to 16 megapixel with f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera is exactly the same.
OnePlus 3T is powered by Android 6.0.1 with an improved version of OxygenOS. The colors have been slightly changed as well with the OnePlus 3T being available in soft gold and gunmetal hues.
OnePlus 3 will no longer be sold now. Prices for the OnePlus 3T start at $439 for the 64GB model while the 128GB model costs $479. It’s going to be released in the United States on November 22nd and in Europe on November 28th.
