Many are wondering what some of the games that we can expect for the Nintendo Switch, but unfortunately that information will only be made available come January, 2017. However according to the folks at Eurogamer, they have from multiple sources that Pokemon Sun/Moon could be one of the titles available for the Switch.
We should note that Eurogamer was the first to break the news about the design of the Switch, which they got right, so they do have a pretty good track record. Also since Pokemon has been largely only available on handheld consoles, their sources are telling them that the version created for the Switch will be specially made for the console.
The game is currently holding the codename of “Pokemon Stars” and their sources are telling them that the game is well into its development and could be released in 2017. Whether or not it will be a launch title remains to be seen, but at the very least a 2017 release wouldn’t be so bad even if it wasn’t. This would also mark the first time that a Nintendo home console would be getting a main Pokemon adventure game.
No word on the features of the Switch version of the game, but it will be interesting to see how the game will be played out on a home console, although we suggest that since this is a rumor for now, take it with a grain of salt.
