Members of the Windows 10 Insiders program have been given an early look at Microsoft’s upcoming Office Hub app. It’s expected that the company is going to launch this app with the Windows 10 Creators Update that’s due to be released early next year. The new Office Hub app is actually an update to the Get Office app on Windows 10. From the looks of it, the app is going to enable users to install Office apps, access their files, and do more from one central location.
The Office Hub app will enable users to view their recent documents as well as easily install Office applications like Word, Excel, Outlook, and more. Users will also be able to view their account details and manage their installs right within the app.
It even includes a dedicated section for Help and Training which contains easy to understand quick start guides so that users can brush up on what’s new in Office Hub. Though this feature hasn’t been added yet, it’s expected that even Cortana might be baked into Office Hub at some point.
That’s quite possible actually since we still have a few months before Microsoft is due to release the Windows 10 Creators Update so it has a lot of time to make any changes and improvements to the Office Hub app.
