It is without a doubt that Mario Kart will be one of the titles available for the Nintendo Switch. It was shown off in the console’s debut trailer, and even if Nintendo claims the trailer doesn’t represent actual footage, it would be pretty silly for the company to not make Mario Kart part of the Switch’s game lineup.
That being said, there is some good news which is that according to the latest rumors, the game is confirmed for the Switch, but there’s more. In a post by Emily Rogers, she has revealed that the Mario Kart coming to the Switch will be different from the version on the Wii U in the sense that it will feature more content.
According to Rogers, she claims that the Switch version of Mario Kart will not only come with the original Mario Kart 8 game, but all of the DLC that has been released so far, and there will be new tracks, new playable characters, and also a new and improved battle mode, which Rogers suggests that it could be Nintendo taking player feedback to heart.
She also adds that the game for the Switch has completed its development and will be released within the first three months of the console’s launch, which last we heard was set for March 2017. We’re not sure why it isn’t one of the launch titles, but we guess better late than never, right?
