In today’s increasingly connected world, smart locks are starting to find their way into more homes. There are plenty of players in the market today, such as Yale, August, and Samsung, just to name a few, but Kwikset is also a brand that could be of interest to you, especially since the Kevo Convert is now available for pre-order.
Kwikset is no stranger to the smart lock scene and the company has launched its Kevo smart locks in the past. However one of the main differences between the Kevo Convert and the other Kevo smart locks, or other branded smart locks for that matter, is that it will work with existing locks, meaning that installation can be done in minutes.
August actually has a similar lock concept but if you’re looking for alternatives, the Kevo Convert is one of them. Once the Kevo Convert is installed, accessing your smart lock will be done the same way as before, which is through Bluetooth or via the internet and also through its accompanying app.
As for pricing, the Kevo Convert is set at $149 which makes it considerably more affordable than the regular Kevo which is priced at $229 on Amazon. However we guess the upside to the regular Kevo is that it is a more “full” system, but if you think that having just an inner smart lock is good enough, then hit up Kevo’s website to pre-order the Kevo Convert.
