HP has been making some effort in releasing smartphones. For example earlier this year we saw HP launch the Elite X3 Windows 10 Mobile smartphone, so if the rumors are true, it looks like we can expect a follow-up device next year. The rumors are suggesting that an unveiling at MWC 2017 could be possible, and given the mobile-centric nature of the event, we guess it shouldn’t be too surprising.
Unfortunately specs of this rumored HP and Microsoft smartphone are unknown so it could be anyone’s guess. However if it is going to be the successor to the Elite X3, then we guess it will be an upgrade over the current specs which includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
Presumably this means that next year we could see the Snapdragon 835, maybe 6-8GB of RAM, and hopefully more storage. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but check back with us in the coming weeks/months where hopefully we’ll have more details to share.
