Telltale has made quite a name for itself in the gaming industry by coming out with good episodic iterations of some of the best TV shows and movies. If you’ve had enough of Telltale’s Batman, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones, perhaps you might want to play a Guardians of the Galaxy game from the company. Word on the street is that Telltale is working on a Guardians of a Galaxy game.
This bit of information has been revealed by a document detailing in-development games circulated by SAF-AFTRA, the union of voice actors. Even though the union is currently on strike its members are allowed to work on titles in production. A list of games in production currently has been circulated online and it includes “Guardians Of The Galaxy — The Video Game.”
It merits mentioning here that Telltale did say in April last year that it’s going to work on a unspecified Marvel game that’s going to be released in 2017. There’s a good possibility that the Guardians of the Galaxy game is what Telltale was alluding to.
The expected release timeline is interesting as well considering the fact that the sequel of 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy is also due to hit the big screen next year.
The release can be timed around the release of the new movie for added hype, but this is just speculation right now, neither Marvel nor Telltale have confirmed anything about a Guardians of the Galaxy game at this point in time.
