Many have been wondering about the Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch that was launched in August but did not have a release date. Would it be delayed due to the situation with the Note 7? Those were some of the concerns, although there were reports that suggested that it would not have an impact, and sure enough it looks like it did not.
Samsung has recently announced that the Gear S3 will be released and available for purchase come 18th of November for those who are interested in getting it. The Gear S3 will also be available for pre-orders on the 6th of November, so you might want to do that just to be safe in case the device quickly runs out of stock. For AT&T customers, pre-orders will begin on the 4th of November.
In case you missed the official announcement of the Gear S3 during IFA 2016, the smartwatch comes in two flavors: the Gear S3 Classic and the Gear S3 Frontier. The Frontier will be the more rugged of the two, and it also features support for LTE if you want connectivity on your smartwatch without having to rely on your smartphone all the time.
Other than that and a slight difference in design, both smartwatches will come with the same hardware under the hood as well as features. The price is expected to start at $350.
