NVIDIA, who will be supplying some of the hardware for the console, also expressed their excitement, and the latest member of the industry to sing the praises of the console comes from retailer GameStop. During the company’s earnings briefing (via GameSpot), GameStop’s CEO Paul Raines was quoted as saying, “The Nintendo Switch, which I played at Nintendo a few weeks ago–we believe could be another game-changer that will expand the audience for gaming.”
This is quite a change in tone considering that the company wasn’t too pleased with the Wii U back in 2013 where they called the sales of the console “disappointing”. Many are hoping that Nintendo will indeed be able to reverse their fortunes with the Switch, and so far initial impressions of the console have been largely positive.
Recently it also seemed to have been confirmed that Skyrim will also be part of the Switch’s lineup of games, an interesting move considering that the last time Bethesda developed for Nintendo’s consoles was many years ago.
