Earlier this month we reported that mods support for Fallout 4 on the PS4 would be arriving this month, and the good news for PS4 gamers is that it looks like it has. In the latest patch that is being released for Fallout 4 on the PS4, it brings it to 1.8 and in that patch, there is support for mods which is something that gamers can look forward to.
Gamers will now be able to check out the various mods available and download them for the game if they so choose. However we should note that in case you’re hearing about this for the first time, there are several limitations to mods for the PS4. One of those limitation is the size in which only 1GB will be available for mods.
The second is also that unlike the PC mods, modders who want to create mods for the PS4 will have to use assets that are already provided in the game. This means if you wanted something a little more unique and funky, like the Buzz Lightyear mod in the picture above, you’d be out of luck.
We know these limitations are less than ideal, but we suppose something is better than nothing, right? Some of you guys might recall that back in September, discussions between Sony and Bethesda had reached an impasse in which basically Bethesda revealed that Sony would not allow mods, but later on they have finally managed to come to an agreement.
