If you’ve been playing video games for the past one or two decades, chances are Duke Nukem is a franchise that is very familiar to you. Starting out as a pixelated side-scroller shooting game that was along the likes of Contra, Duke Nukem has since evolved into a first-person shooter.
Duke Nukem 3D was pretty well received, but unfortunately the game’s latest release, Duke Nukem Forever was not. However it seems that the franchise could be getting ready to redeem itself because in a recent tweet by Gearbox’s CEO Randy Pitchford, it seems that the company has a potential Duke Nukem announcement they are planning for the 1st of December.
Responding to a question by a gamer about a possible Gears of War and Duke Nukem crossover, Pitchford responded by saying, “On December 1st, we are announcing something you might really enjoy :)” Now this by no means confirms the question the gamer asked, but it does confirm that there will be something announced although we can’t be 100% sure what it is.
A new Duke Nukem game would actually be a pretty nice surprise and something that we’re sure fans would not mind seeing. In any case if you are Duke Nukem fan, do remember to check back with us next week for the details on the announcement!
