It started off with a job listing which was discovered that called upon someone for a World Design Tester position and who had “Experience testing multiple platforms (Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, PC).” The fact that it mentions PC got gamers excited, although Jason Schreier of Kotaku who has been pretty solid when it comes to insider information and leaks about Destiny points out that the listing is irrelevant.
This is because the listing mentions older consoles like the PS3 and Xbox 360, both of which are consoles that Bungie has stopped supporting with new content, so it doesn’t make sense for Destiny 2 to be available on those platforms. However this is where it gets interesting as Schreier says that despite the listing’s irrelevancy, he can “confirm” that the game will arrive on the PC.
Bungie has yet to say anything about Destiny 2’s availability on the PC, but last we checked, the developer did state that the game was set for a release in 2017, so maybe we’ll learn more about it next year at E3, assuming the game launches in the second half of the year.
