If Diablo 3 is starting to get a bit stale for your liking, not to worry as Blizzard has announced their plans to break the monotony. The developer has announced that they will be introducing a new premium class to the game in the form of the Necromancer, which technically isn’t really new since the Necromancer actually made his debut back in Diablo 2.
Essentially what we’re getting here is the Diablo 3 version of the character where we can expect new skills, new animations, and more. Of course some of his classic skills will be returning, like Bone Spear, Corpse Explosion, and more. He will also be able to raise the dead and command his own little army.
As part of the Rise of the Necromancer pack, players will also receive an in-game pet, two additional character slots, two additional stash tabs, a portrait frame, pennant, banner, and banner sigil. Now if you’re thinking that there is no way this is going to be free, you’d be right because it’s not.
The Necromancer pack will be available as an in-game purchase, but unfortunately Blizzard did not detail pricing of the pack for now. The character (both the male and female variants) will be available in 2017, but no specific dates were mentioned. In the meantime you can check out the launch trailer for the Necromancer class in the video above.
