BlackBerry is still trying to find its footing in the smartphone market even though it’s far from the dominant player that it once was. The company has given up on making its own devices and is now actually collaborating with third-party manufacturers on new handsets. The DTEK50 and the DTEK60 are the only two Android-powered handsets to come out of these collaborations and they will soon be released in India.

The DTEK50 was BlackBerry’s first mid-range Android smartphone that the company made with a third-party OEM. It features a 5.2 inch Full HD display, it’s powered by a Snapdragon 617 processor with 3GB RAM and it also features a 13 megapixel rear and 8 megapixel front camera.

BlackBerry launched the DTEK60 just last month. The company says that this handset is capable of taking on the best flagships on the market, that’s a claim that I haven’t been able to independently verify.

BlackBerry DTEK60 features a 5.5 inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 820 processor with RGB RAM and 32GB storage, 8 megapixel front and 21 megapixel rear camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and a fingerprint sensor.

The DTEK50 will go on sale in India come November 13th while the company says that it’s going to release the DTEK60 in India next month. The handsets are priced at Rs. 21,990 and Rs. 46,990 respectively.
