Apple’s partnership with the (PRODUCT)RED charity is pretty well-known, and it is one that has been going on for many, many years now. It also does not look like they’ll be slowing down soon either because Apple has recently taken the wraps off two new (PRODUCT)RED products in the form of the Beats Solo3 headphones and the Pill+ speakers.
Basically these aren’t actually new products per se, but rather they are a new variation of existing products. The Solo3 headphones are priced at $300 while the Pill+ speakers will retail for $230. All proceeds from the sale of these products are expected to go towards the global fight to prevent AIDS and HIV through research and education, so if you want to do your part for the world and look stylish at the same time, these (PRODUCT)RED devices might be worth your money, especially if you were in the market for new headphones or speakers anyway.
In terms of availability, Apple has listed both the headphones and speakers as “coming soon”, but given that (PRODUCT)RED launches tend to line up with World Aids Day in December, we guess we probably won’t have to wait too long to get our hands on them. They aren’t available for pre-order just yet, but if you like you can check out their individual pages (Solo3 / Pill+) for more information.
