Apple Crediting Customers Who Bought USB-C Accessories

macbook-pro-accessoriesAs if the new MacBook Pros weren’t expensive enough, the lack of more traditional ports and the SD card slot meant that users with existing USB-A devices needed to purchase accessories to make them compatible with the new laptops. This meant spending more money on dongles, USB hubs, and so on.

To help reduce the impact of the costs associated with the new laptops, Apple decided to do a massive discount by reducing pricing on its USB-C accessories and LG Ultrafine displays by up to 25%. So what about those who already bought the accessories? The good news is that according to emails Apple has been sending out, the company is crediting users for their purchases.

The email reads, “Apple recently lowered the price of the USB-C to Lightning Cable (1m) you ordered. We are pleased to inform you that we will provide you with a credit for the difference between the price you paid and the new, lower price.” It also seems to apply to those who made the purchase from the 27th of October, the day the MacBook Pros were announced, till the 4th of November, which is when the discounts were announced.

For those who have yet to take advantage of the discount, maybe you should as Apple rarely offers that big of a discount on its products. The offer is valid until the end of the year.
