Vine’s Co-Founders Launch A Live Streaming App Called ‘Hype’

hype-live-streamFacebook Live is a feature that the social network is offering its users in which users can create live broadcasts and share them with their friends, colleagues, family, followers, and so on. Now Facebook Live is obviously not the only one of its kind as there are other similar apps such as Periscope, and last we checked Instagram was working on a similar feature as well.

However it looks like the market is about to get a bit more crowded as the co-founders have recently announced a new app for live streaming called Hype. Interestingly enough the new app was sort of made more public when its creators decided to host a live stream in which they lamented the shutdown of Vine.

That being said, how does Hype differ from the other streaming platforms out there? According to its creators, Hype is supposed to be more “interactive”. It also sounds like the app has some similar features to other platforms out there, such as Twitch, where users can send “sparkles” as a way to tell the broadcaster you like what you’re seeing.

There are also featured comments that lets the broadcaster share the comment with their viewers. Broadcasters can also create slideshows from pictures in their camera roll. The app was previously in beta but it has since been released on iOS. Its creators are also promising that an Android version is on its way.
