The very emotional Toy Story 3 was released way back in 2010 and for those who thought that was the end of the Toy Story franchise, think again as the folks at Disney announced that there would be a Toy Story 4 which was originally supposed to be released on the 15th of June, 2018, but not anymore as Disney has since announced that the movie will be delayed.
In a post by the Disney-Pixar Twitter account, it was revealed that Toy Story 4 will be delayed to the 21st of June, 2019. The good news is that this delay is actually a swapping of dates with another Disney/Pixar movie, The Incredibles 2 which was originally supposed to be released on the 21st of June, 2019. Now that it has swapped dates with Toy Story 4, fans can look forward to the sequel on the 15th of June, 2018.
Granted there is still a ton of waiting left to do, but we suppose it will be worth looking forward to. The Incredibles was originally released way back in 2004, meaning that by the time it is released, 14 years would have passed since the original movie. It’s strange that the folks at Disney/Pixar did not work on a sequel considering how well-received the original movie was, but we suppose better late than never, although with all the waiting there’s definitely going to be a lot of hype that has been built up.
Here’s hoping that Disney/Pixar won’t disappoint (then again their animated movies rarely do). So, which of the two are you more excited for?
