Tinder announced its skip-the-queue feature called Tinder Boost last month. What it basically does is list a user’s profile among the top profiles in their area for 30 minutes. This means that if someone is swiping in their area, their profile is likely to come up at the very top of the list. Tinder says that this increases their chances for a match and can get them up to ten times more profile views when boosting. Tinder today announced that the Boost feature is now being rolled out worldwide.
Users can only activate Boost when swiping in Tinder mode. Those who subscribe to Tinder Plus will be given one free Boost every week. Those who want more and don’t happen to subscribe to Tinder Plus, they will be able to buy a Boost whenever they want. It’s just one of the ways Tinder is making money off of its platform.
Pricing is going to vary by region as the case is with Tinder Plus. If you’re interested in boosting your profile, fire up the app and navigate to settings to find this feature. You should be able to find out there how much it’s going to cost to boost your profile.
Just to be clear, buying a boost doesn’t guarantee that you will actually match with people. It merely puts you in front of the queue. Whether or not other users decide to swipe right on you is entirely up to them.
