The Last Guardian Soundtrack Will Be Released On Vinyl

We have all been made to wait a very long time for The Last Guardian but the game is finally going to be released soon. It was confirmed a few days ago that The Last Guardian has gone gold which basically means that production has been completed on the core game and it will now be pressed into discs. Sony today revealed some more information about the game’s audio, announcing that The Last Guardian soundtrack is going to be released on vinyl.

Composer Takeshi Furukawa has put together the soundtrack for this puzzle-platformer. Sony is going to release a new app to highlight his work. The app is called The Last Guardian Composer’s Choice PS4 Music App and it’s going to feature 17 tracks from the game, and it’s going to have support for stereo and surround sound.

Those who own a PlayStation headset that’s compatible with the Headset Companion App will be able to activate a custom audio mode for a “fine-tuned audio experience engineered for maximum immersion.”

It will be possible to export the tracks in MP3s to a USB drive. Sony hasn’t revealed how much this app is going to cost but it did mention that the entire album is going to be released via iTunes.
