Earlier this month, Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk confirmed that the company is going to conduct an event on October 17th where it’s going to unveil a new product. He didn’t provide any more details about what we can expect at the event or if it’s related to the Model 3 in any way. Musk has now taken to Twitter to confirm that Tesla is going to delay the launch event by a couple of days, the new product is now going to be unveiled day after tomorrow.
Musk didn’t really go into the specifics of what requires additional refinement but at least he did confirm that the event is no longer going to take place on Monday, those who are interested in seeing what the company has to show will have to tune in on October 19th.
Tesla said earlier this year that it’s going to conduct a two-part unveil for the Model 3. We’ve already seen part one and are now wait for part two. There’s speculation that Tesla might finally reveal more information about its upcoming mass market electric car on Wednesday.
Some believe that the company is going to talk about major upgrades to its Autopilot semi-autonomous driving system which will bring hardware improvements to the system in the form of additional radars and enhanced camera systems.
None of this has been officially confirmed, we’ll only get to know for sure when Tesla makes the official announcement day after tomorrow.
