There are a plethora of Android Wear-powered smartwatches that you can choose from but there’s only really one company that sells one of the most expensive Android Wear smartwatches. Tag Heuer launched its Connected smartwatch some time back, it sells for $1,500 but if you’re not content with spending that kind of money perhaps you would like to spend $9,900 on the rose gold model of the same smartwatch.
It’s very much the same Tag Heuer Connected smartwatch that the Swiss watchmaker launched about a year back so there’s nothing fundamentally different about the rose gold version aside from the fact that it costs as much as a car.
The case and lugs of this particular version are made out of 18K rose gold. Inside the case you’ll find the same dualcore processor by Intel coupled with 1GB RAM and a 410mAh battery on the $1,500 model.
It goes without saying that the average customer won’t be picking up this smartwatch, the average customer might not even pick up a $1,500 smartwatch, this is really only for those who have the money to be flashy in that manner.
If I were one of those customers, I’d rather spend $9,900 on a proper mechanical watch from Tag Heuer finished in rose gold, it will surely hold its value better and would be a more sensible choice.
The Tag Heuer Connected will be available from the company’s authorized dealers starting this fall.
