While the CEOs of the other major carriers in the US have typically been rather diplomatic in their statements made publicly, T-Mobile’s CEO John Legere is the complete opposite. Legere has no problems making loud and flashy statements about his competitors that more often than not rub people the wrong way.
However he is pretty entertaining in a brutally honest kind of way, which is why it isn’t surprising that the outspoken CEO has managed to garner quite a following on Twitter. In fact Legere recently hit the 3 million followers milestone and to celebrate that achievement, he plans to send someone into space.
Legere posted a message on Twitter in which he thanks his followers for following him and allowing to reach his milestone. He also says that to celebrate his 3 million followers, if his tweet gets retweeted 1,000,000 times, he will one random follower into space. Or to be more specific, Mars via the SpaceX Mars program which is expected to kick off in 2022.
As you can see in the image, there are “easier” prizes, such as 10,000 retweets that will nab you a flight anywhere in the US, 50,000 retweets for a zero gravity chair, and 100,000 retweets for a zero gravity experience. So far his tweet is at around 5,800 so we reckon it will be a while before it hits 1,000,000, if at all.
