Survey Finds 70% Of Note 7 Owners Will Stand By Samsung

According to a recent survey, it was suggested that 40% of Samsung’s customers don’t plan to stay with the company following the Note 7 incidents. This means that about 60% do plan to stay and a recent survey by BayStreet yielded roughly similar results in which 70% of Note 7 owners said that they will continue to buy from the brand.

BayStreet says, “We believe the vast majority (70%) will remain with Samsung and likely choose a Galaxy S7 device alternative. The second, and more difficult variable, is what percentage of switchers are willing to leave the Android ecosystem. Note customers are aspirational and value premium brands, and thus the iPhone could certainly appeal to them. However, Note customers are also among Samsung’s most loyal.”

This is probably good news for Samsung whose reputation has taken quite a hit following the incident. The company has been trying to get into the good graces of its customers by offering up incentives, such as up to $100 in credit if they were to stick around and exchange the Note 7 for another Samsung handset.

The company has also offered Note 7 customers in Korea 50% off the Galaxy S8 or the Note 8, making it very compelling for them to stick around. Whether or not they do remains to be seen, but to get a flagship phone at 50% off is indeed a very tempting offer.
