It looks like Sony is continuing that trend with the A6500 as the camera is said to be capable of locking down on its subject in just 0.05 seconds. If you’re the type that loves taking action or street photography where your subjects don’t always stay still, this camera could be worth taking a look at.
Other new features include a touchscreen LCD and 5-axis image stabilization, a first for Sony’s APS-C sensor cameras. Other than that, the rest of the camera’s specs will remain the same as its predecessor, the A6300. This means we can expect a 24.2MP APS-C sensor, 425 phase detection autofocus points, an ISO range from 100-512,009, 4K video recording, and the ability to shoot at 11 frames-per-second.
If this sounds like the camera you’ve been waiting for, Sony will be selling the A6500 this coming November where it will be priced around $1,400, so you’ve got pretty much a month to start saving up for it.
