Samsung Mobile Chief Vows To Regain The Trust Of Their Consumers

samsung-mobile-chiefFollowing the decision to kill off the Note 7 and with the CPSC issuing a second round of recalls for the phone, safe to say that the trust that customers have had in Samsung have taken a serious hit. Granted for the most part Samsung has done a good job with their phones over the years, but this is something that consumers won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

However this is something that Samsung Mobile chief Koh Dong-jin plans to fix. In a report from the Korea Herald, Koh appeared to have bowed deeply in apology during a press conference held by the company and that he “would at any cost find the exact cause (of the faulty Galaxy Note 7) to restore trust of consumers so that they can use Samsung products without any safety concerns.”

As it stands it is still unclear as to why the Note 7 had exploded in the first place. It was initially speculated that it could be the battery, but the replacement units had batteries made by a different company and they too experienced problems. Last we heard, Samsung’s own engineers are still stumped by the problem and have not been able to replicate the problems in their own tests, but hopefully we will have an answer soon.

In the meantime despite the backlash, the report claims that many Samsung employees are continuing to stand beside their president and have offered up messages of support on the company’s message boards.
