Dubbed the Samsung ArtPC Pulse, this is a computer from Samsung that has a very familiar design, although we guess in its own way it actually does look pretty decent. Samsung has also improved on the design by building in speakers from Harmon Kardon that is able to project 360-degree sound, so with a bit of clever placement, you should have a pretty decent setup.
Samsung has also opted to make the PC modular in the sense that it will have removable expansion modules so that users who demand more from their PC from what Samsung is offering by default will be able to make some changes of their own, although from what we can tell unlike the Mac Pro, Samsung isn’t aiming the ArtPC Pulse at professionals.
Its base specs include an Intel Core i5 Skylake processor and will come with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a Radeon RX 460 GPU, and it will be priced at a much more affordable $1,200. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, it is available for pre-order on Amazon with a release date set for the 28th of October.
