Apple has confirmed that it’s going to conduct an event later this month and while the company hasn’t said what it’s going to show off, rumors suggest that the much-awaited MacBook refresh will be announced on October 27th. Noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities predicts that the revamped MacBook Pro lineup is going to come with a “MagSafe-like” USB-C adapter.

Kuo predicted in a note to investors that this new adapter will either by introduced by Apple or a third-party but holds firm on the possibility that the revamped MacBook Pro will feature a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer instead of a MagSafe port found on previous MacBooks. Apple made the shift to USB Type-C for its notebooks with the 12 inch MacBook last year.

The analyst also predicts that the new MacBook Pro lineup is going to be powered by Intel Skylake processors and options will include up to 2TB of SSD storage. Screen resolutions are said to be identical to existing MacBook Pro models.

Previous rumors suggest that the new MacBook Pro models will also feature an OLED touch bar, a fingerprint sensor, new keyboard with butterfly mechanism, and Thunderbolt 3. Apple is not expected to announce new iMacs at this event, but who knows what’s going to happen until the company officially announces its new products on October 27th. Fingers crossed!
