If you liked playing Red Dead Redemption, perhaps you might be interested in taking its predecessor for a spin as well. Red Dead Revolver has been released today for PlayStation 4 in Europe and North America. It’s certainly going to be a walk down memory lane when you consider the fact that Red Dead Revolver was first released for the PlayStation 2 back in 2004.
It’s obviously not going to deliver the kind of performance that you would expect from a title created just for the PlayStation 4, but Rockstar does promise that it comes with “full 1080p up-rendered” graphics.
Red Dead Revolver also has support for PlayStation 4 features like Remote Play, Trophies, Share Play, and Activity Feeds. The game has support for Second Screen as well for game manuals with PlayStation Vita or the PS App.
This was initially a Capcom title but Rockstar acquired the rights to it when it bought Angel Studios. Red Dead Revolver was also released for the Xbox back in 2004. The successor, Red Dead Redemption, was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010. It’s backwards compatible on the Xbox 360 but not playable on PlayStation 4.
Rockstar’s Red Dead Revolver is priced at $14.99 and is now available for purchase via the PlayStation Store.
