You might remember a platform by the name of Voodoo Vince. This game was released for the original Xbox console all the way back in 2003. This odd puzzle platformer was quite popular back in the day and if played it perhaps you might like to take it for a spin again. Soon you will able to as it has been confirmed today that Voodoo Vince: Remastered is going to be released for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC next year.
Beep Industries developed the original Voodoo Vince game for the first Xbox and the game was published by Microsoft. Players had control of Vince which is an animated burlap voodoo doll that can eliminate enemies by hurting itself. Clayton Kauzlaric, the game’s original creator, is now working on Voodoo Vince: Remastered at his new studio Beep Games.
“Join Vince on a wild tear through crawfish-laden swamps, haunted graveyards, and the eccentric French Quarter in search of his missing keeper, Madam Charmaine,” the game’s description reads, adding that players will be able to take out enemies with more than 30 voodoo attacks that involve falling safes, bolts of lightning, prickly pushpins, and more.
The puzzle platforming gameplay has been preserved just as it was in the original game all those years ago. The remastered version brings 1080p visuals with 16:9 aspect ratio as well as updated rendering and visual effects. Xbox Live has been baked in too so players will be able to compete for Achievements.
Voodoo Vince: Remastered is going to be released for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC early next year.
