However rumors are just that, rumors, and it seems that OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has shut the rumors down. While he does not directly address the rumors of a OnePlus 3S, his tweet basically confirmed that the company will be sticking with AMOLED screens for the foreseeable future. According to Pei, “OnePlus will be staying with Optic AMOLED displays for the foreseeable future.”
So what does this mean for the rumored OnePlus 3S? Like we said, Pei doesn’t seem to directly address those rumors and as we have seen in the past, he has been pretty quick to shut down rumors that aren’t true so the fact that he hasn’t come right out and said anything has us wondering if maybe the rumored OnePlus 3S does exist, and that instead of LCD it will stick to the optic AMOLED screen.
In any case since nothing is official, take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for any new information that might surface.
